OnePlus has been preparing to launch the much-awaited OnePlus 5 which is the next flagship smartphone from the company after the last year’s OnePlus 3/T. OnePlus 5 has been leaked and rumored several times in the past and OnePlus has also confirmed a few details about the device. OnePlus has previously confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will be coming with the latest chipset from Qualcomm which is the Snapdragon 835. Also known is that the OnePlus 5 will be launching this Summer as confirmed by OnePlus itself. We had also seen two seperate rumors of the OnePlus 5 launch date which suggested a June 15 as well as a June 20 launch date.
Now, this has been confirmed by OnePlus itself and the company has announced that the OnePlus 5 will be launching on June 20. This details were given by OnePlus on its Twitter page and the company also announced that the OnePlus 5’s Keynote will start from 12 PM EDT which equates to 9.30 PM IST.

Now, as we have known the launch date of the OnePlus 5, we had been waiting for some sort of official looking images of the OnePlus 5. This has been leaked by a popular website from the US, AndroidPolice. AndroidPolice reports that they have received the OnePlus 5 images from two seperate sources and even added that they are “highly confident this is an accurate image”.
As per the past rumors, OnePlus 5 will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The OnePlus 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset and will come with 6/8 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage. Also known is that the OnePlus 5 will come with a 3300 mAH battery and will support fast charging with charging speeds as high as 0-100 in 30 mins. The OnePlus 5 is also expected to be priced higher than the OnePlus 3T which was launched at Rs. 29,999 in India.
