Motorola has been expected to release the next flagship smartphone from the company which would also be the successor to the last year’s Moto Z, the Moto Z2. Motorola has already launched the Moto Z2 Play earlier this month which means that the Moto Z2 is just around the corner. The company has now shared an invite for an event planned by the company on June 27. This is expected to be the event where the company will launch the Moto Z2. The invite is very interesting as it shows a device with a dual camera and the phone looks very similar to the Moto Z2. We have also known that the Moto Z2 will be launched by Motorola in Brazil on June 21 so we will be seeing a separate event for Indian audience on June 27.
One interesting point to note is the slogan which reads “Motorola is back”. This is a little confusing as Motorola was first owned by Google and then Lenovo. Reports have emerged saying that Lenovo has halted production under Lenovo branding and are moving to Motorola completely. This could be a major announcement in the event scheduled for June 27. From the invite, we can see a dual camera setup at the back in a circular frame that protrudes out like other Moto phones. The phone appears to be in a glossy black finish and exhibits a unibody design.
The Moto Z2 is expected to pack a 5.5 inch Quad HD display with minimal bezels. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4/6 GB of RAM. The phone is also expected to ship with 64GB of non-expandable storage. Stay tuned as we will have to wait for the June 27 launch event to see the official details about the Moto Z2.
