Motorola, after launching a wide range of smartphones like the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus to the Moto C as well as the Moto Z2 Play has now launched the much-awaited budget smartphone, Moto E4 & E4 Plus. The Moto E4 is priced at $129.99 and the Moto E4 Plus is priced at $179.99 which justify the tags of being the budget phones.
As for the specifications of the devices, the Moto E4 which is a lite version of the Moto E4 Plus comes with 5-inch HD display on the front. This display is covered by a 2.5D curved glass on the front. Internally it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC which is clocked at 1.4GHz. It is also coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. 16GB is less but you can also expand it via a microSD card for adding some more storage. The smartphone is kept powered by a 2,800 mAh battery which also rapid charge support. In terms of the camera, we are looking at an 8-megapixel rear f/2.2 lens which is coupled with a LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP f/2.2 shooter which also has a LED flash. Talking about the Moto E4 Plus, the device comes with a 5.5-inch display on the front which has a resolution of 1280 x 720. This is also powered by the same Snapdragon 425 SoC which is clocked at 1.14 GHz. It is coupled with 2GB RAM just like the Moto E4 and this device will be offered in 16GB/ 32GB storage configuration. But they both can be expanded via a microSD card for adding more storage.
As per the pricing of Moto E4 and the E4 Plus in India, the smartphones are expected to be priced at Rs. 8000 as well as 11,500 INR in the country. The Moto E4 will be an Amazon Prime Exclusive smartphone and will be available in Licorice Black and Fine Gold finishes. The Moto E4 Plus, on the other hand, will be available in Oxford Blue, Iron Grey, and Blush Gold color options.
