Motorola has finally started rolling out the much-awaited Nougat update to the Moto M devices in India. The Moto M was launched by Lenovo-owned Motorola last year in India. The device was launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and the device came with two variants- 3GB RAM variant which came with 32GB internal storage whereas 4GB RAM variant which came with 64GB of internal storage. The Moto M with 3GB RAM was priced at Rs. 15,999 whereas the 4GB RAM variant came at a price of Rs. 17,999.
We have already known that the Moto M users in India were heavily anticipating the Android Nougat update to come to their device. Now, we have known that the Android 7.0 Nougat update has started to roll-out for the Moto M devices in India. As far as the update is concerned, the Android Nougat update is Android 7.0 Nougat and not Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Also, we have known that the update is pretty big and the size of the update is around 1.5 GB. The update includes the installation of Google Duo as the primary video-calling app to the smartphone. Apart from the other changes which come with Android 7.0 Nougat like Doze mode and split-screen, the update should also include bug fixes as well as bring some stability improvements to the device.
Also, as far as the update is concerned, the Moto M users in India have started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update so your device should reach the update soon. However, one thing to note is that the update has been rolled out as an OTA update to the Moto M devices as a staged rollout. This means that your device should receive the update in the coming days.
