OnePlus has been hyping up a lot about the soon-to-be-announced flagship smartphone from the company which is the OnePlus 5. OnePlus 5 is the successor to the OnePlus 3/T which were announced last year by OnePlus. Some of the details about the OnePlus 5 have been revealed by OnePlus itself. Among this, the fact that the OnePlus 5 will come with dual rear cameras is also known. We have also known that the OnePlus 5 will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which makes it join a club of very few smartphones to be powered by the latest chipset. Until now, we have seen the Samsung Galaxy S8, Xiaomi Mi 6 and the HTC U 11 with the latest chipset from Qualcomm. OnePlus 5’s specifications were not known yet but not anymore as we have a leak which shows the specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
A GFXBench listing with the model number A5000 was seen on the benchmarking site and according to the previous reports, this is the model number of the OnePlus 5. According to the listing, OnePlus’ Snapdragon 835 processor will be clocked at 2.4GHz and will feature 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. As for other specs, the OnePlus 5 will flaunt 5.5inch display with a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. As for the camera specs, the rear camera will feature dual camera which would be the 16MP dual rear camera. On the front side also, the device will feature 16MP camera but it would be a single camera. OnePlus 5 will run on Android 7.1.1 out of the box and support NFC and 4K video recording for the rear camera.
OnePlus has already revealed that the OnePlus 5 will be launched worldwide on June 20 and an India-specific event will also be held for the smartphone launch. OnePlus 5 will be available for sale from 4.30 PM on Amazon.in right after the launch event in Mumbai on June 22.
