OnePlus has recently launched the latest smartphone from the company for this year, the OnePlus 5. The latest smartphone from OnePlus is also the successor to the OnePlus 3 & 3T launched last year. The OnePlus 5 is also claimed to be the ‘flagship killer’ same as the earlier phones from OnePlus. OnePlus 5 comes with a dual rear camera setup as well as up to 8 GB of RAM. Also, the smartphone comes with up to 128 GB of internal storage. OnePlus has been betting big on the camera of the OnePlus 5 as well which is a 16MP+20MP camera.
Earlier, OnePlus announced that the company is partnering with DxO, the company behind DxOMark which rates the camera on the latest smartphones on a scale of 0 to 100. This raised hopes of all the fans around the world about the OnePlus 5’s camera capability. For instance, the Google Pixel was given a DxOMark score of 89 last year by the company which was the highest score for any smartphone at that time. Later, the HTC U11 scored 90 on DxOMark which is the highest score for any smartphone camera till date. However, the DxOMark scores for the OnePlus 5 are out and the smartphone has been given a score of 87 which is below the Google Pixel & HTC U11. However, DxOMark has given a detailed explanation about the score it has given for the OnePlus 5.

DxOMark says that the OnePlus 5 has been able to get some excellent outdoor shots with “outstanding color and detail”. However, the one area where the smartphone lacks is the low-light photography on the smartphone. Under low-light conditions, the smartphone shows some noticeable blur and noise. The OnePlus 5, however, has an excellent autofocusing ability with the autofocus score of the smartphone reaching 92.
