OnePlus has been preparing to launch the OnePlus 5 which will be the next flagship smartphone from the company after the last year’s OnePlus 3/T. OnePlus has been sharing many details about the smartphone in order to generate some interest among the public for the soon-to-be-released device. OnePlus had recently announced that the OnePlus 5 will be launched worldwide on June 20 as well as the OnePlus 5 will be launched in India on June 22. OnePlus will also be selling the invites for the Indian launch event which will be held in NSCI Dome, Mumbai and the sale of the invites will start from June 12. However, there was some confusion regarding the sale of the invites for the event.
The confusion regarding the invite sale from OnePlus was that the invite ticket for the OnePlus 5 launch event included some freebies offered by OnePlus worth Rs. 10,000. Among this, there was also a OnePlus 5 invite code which created doubt among the fans about whether the OnePlus 5 will be sold via invite as was seen from the initial launch of OnePlus One. However, OnePlus has posted a video on its Facebook page to clear this confusion. OnePlus has clarified that the OnePlus 5 will be invite-free same as the OnePlus 3/T. However, OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus will be available on Amazon.in from 4.30 PM via a limited open sale and the sale will be available till the stocks last.
We have also known that the OnePlus 5 will come with Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6 GB/8 GB of RAM as well as up to 128 GB of internal storage. OnePlus 5 pricing information for India has also been leaked earlier which suggests that the device will be costlier than the OnePlus 3/T. Stay tuned for more details on the OnePlus 5 on its official launch event scheduled for June 20.
