Apple has recently concluded the WWDC 2017 which is an annual developer conference held by Apple to showcase what the company is working on similar to Google’s I/O developer conference. In the WWDC this year, Apple announced the newer version of iOS, the iOS 11 as well as the latest lineup of MacBook as well as iMac computers running on the latest macOS named as macOS High Sierra. However, Apple has something in store for the people of Taiwan as well. Apple has announced that Taiwan will get its first Apple store located in Taipei 101 which is an iconic skyscraper of the island state.

This announcement was made by Apple CEO Tim Cook as well on his Twitter account. Tim Cook tweeted the news of the Apple store in a tweet Sunday night which read that “Here comes Apple Taipei 101, our first store in Taiwan! 有閒來坐!”. The news of the Apple store getting officially opened in Taiwan is particularly interesting because the people of Taiwan had to buy the Apple products from authorized sellers like Youth, Studio A, and iStore or from the official site before the Apple store. Apple store launch in Taiwan is also interesting as Foxconn, which is the primary manufacturer of Apple products worldwide did not have an official Apple store in its home state.
According to a local newspaper named Apple Daily, the Apple store should open in Taiwan as soon as the end of this month and the company has also started to recruit employees for its new store in Taiwan. Apple has named their store as the Apple Taipei 101 as the store is located in the skyscraper called the Taipei 101.
