ZTE, the child brand of Nubia, has started rolling out the June security patch update to the Axon 7 smartphones. The security patch update is sent out via an OTA and the update is currently only available to the ZTE Axon 7 owners in Europe. Recently, ZTE also rolled out the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to the Axon 7. The update for ZTE Axon 7 having model number ZTE A2017G arrives as build number A2017GV.1.2.0B05.
Talking about the update, the ZTE Axon 7 is getting the June security patch which enhances the security of the smartphone. Also, the update is said to come with general bug fixes as well as enhancements to the overall usability of the device. The update includes various other under-the-hood performance improvements. Talking about the ZTE Axon 7, the device is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, a 5.50-inch display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the ZTE Axon 7 packs a 20-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Also, the device now runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has a 3250mAh non-removable battery.
As far as the update is concerned, the June security patch update for the device has been rolled out by ZTE for the European users of the Axon 7 currently. The OTA update will reach your device soon if you live in the European region. However, if you haven’t received the update, you can manually check for the update by heading over to Settings – About – Software updates. Also, make sure to download the update as soon as it comes to your device as the update is highly recommended.
