Nokia is expected to release the latest flagship smartphone from the company after the company made a comeback in the industry at the start of this year by launching four new Nokia phones, the Nokia 3310, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. Among all the phones launched earlier this year, the Nokia 6 is the smartphone with highest specifications and the smartphone has been launched in the mid-range segment. This makes us believe that the company will launch a flagship smartphone this year with flagship specifications and premium pricing. There have already been rumors about the Nokia flagship being named as the Nokia 8.

Now, we have received more details about the upcoming Nokia flagship, the Nokia 8. This report comes from the listing that has been found on the benchmarking website, GeekBench. According to GeekBench listing, the Nokia 8 smartphone will come powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM.  Nokia 8 is also rumored to feature a Quad HD 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels, sport 64GB of memory storage option with microSD support and a dual rear 13MP camera. Apart from this, the major detail that has been found on the GeekBench listing is that the Nokia 8 is running the to-be-announced version of Android which is Android 8.0 O. Talking about Android 8.0 O, the latest version of Android is expected to be announced by Google mid-August.

Also, there have been leaks regarding the expected launch date of the Nokia 8 and the smartphone is expected to launch on August 16. The Nokia 8 is expected to come in copper gold, blue and silver colour variants. The pricing details of the smartphone have also been leaked which reveal the premium pricing of the smartphone. Earlier, a Scandinavian retailer had claimed that the Nokia 8 will cost €589 in the European markets but the company is expected to keep the price of the smartphone a little lower in the Indian markets.
