4. Fix your Internet
Slow internet can also be a cause of this issue. You need a good internet connection to play videos with subtitles on Prime Video.
If your internet is somewhat slow then the subtitles may not sync with the video you are playing especially if you are playing videos in the best quality.
First, check your internet speed. For this open your preferred browser (Chrome or any other) on your device, and head to Fast.com.
Run the test and see what’s your internet speed. The recommended speed is 10Mbps, but if your internet speed is less than 5Mbps then you need to fix it.
Here’s what we suggest you to do if your internet is slow-
- If you are using your mobile data then try getting on 5G if that’s possible. If you are using a Wi-Fi connection, then consider upgrading your plan if you are on a slow plan.
- Turn on the airplane mode on your phone and then turn it off. This will refresh your internet connection and should fix the issue.
- Get on a 5Ghz network if you are using Wi-Fi; switch to a 5Ghz band on your router or hotspot device.
- Bring your device close to your router and ensure there’s no obstacle in between.
- If a wired connection is possible then use that while using Prime Video.
- Ensure no other app is running in the background.
- If you are using mobile data then turn off the mobile hotspot, and if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, then disconnect all other devices from the network.
